Welcome to Holistic Business!  My name is Michelle Jones and I have been in and around the ‘New Age’ business field for many years now.  In that time I have seen many people come and go, for a variety of reasons…but the most common reason always seems to be the same…a lack of customers, leading to the business not making enough money.  I have met so many people who either want to be able to help others or want to share their gift with the world – and make a living whilst doing so, but who make some fairly fundamental errors because of a lack of nitty gritty business knowledge, the most common of which is not marketing themselves effectively.  Unfortunately, opening your heart to the abundance of the universe is just not the most effective method of marketing in this day and age (when was it ever…Lol); you need to actively promote yourself!

 

My background in the ‘Real World’ is in Personnel Management and as a Training Professional with some sales and marketing experience thrown in, which has given me lots of skills which are vital to business success….

 

I remember the very first Craft Fair I ever attended as a stallholder, back in 1989.  I had made lots of lovely sparkly earrings and necklaces, and I set up my stall without any thought to proper display (I hadn’t even taken a tablecloth!) and sat back to wait for the customers to flood in and buy all my stock.  I had even calculated how much I would make by selling the lot…At the end of a frustrating, boring and frankly upsetting day; I went home, with all but two pairs of earrings…
